PWN Dublin: Ageing, ageism, and intergenerational relations in society and in the workplace

03 November 2021 18:30 GMT - 20:00 GMT Online

This interactive session will explore ageing, ageism, and intergenerational relations in society and in the workplace, as people are living longer and healthier lives than ever before.  Society needs to embrace this demographic dividend for the betterment and wellbeing of people of all ages, in the spaces and places where they live and work, by countering ageism and fostering positive intergenerational relations.  The World Health Organisation (2002) purports that ageism may now be even more pervasive than sexism and racism, being so entrenched that it is rarely confronted or even recognised as such. In this discussion, we will draw from empirical research, literature, and beyond to interrogate these interesting and pertinent topics.

Join us with our sister branch PWN Frankfurt for this thought provoking journey into aging, ageism, society and our workplace!
